12.08.09 | Winner of Slazenger Ball Bonanza Announced

An 'ace' Guess Gives Winner Tickets to Wimbledon 2010.

This year's Slazenger Ball Bonanza Competition saw tennis fans enter in their thousands to win the ultimate tennis prize. Filling a shop window at the iconic Lillywhites store in London's Piccadilly with thousands of Slazenger tennis balls, we challenged the public to guess the total number of balls in the window. With an incredible prize up for grabs of two tickects to the Wimbledon Men's Final in 2010, it was no wonder that we were inundated with entries from tennis fans.

Out of the thousands of entries, the winning 'guesstimate' came from John Ramsay of London, whose estimate of 2304 balls was the closest to the actual number of 2308. John's lucky guess means he is now the proud owner of two tickets to the most coveted event on the tennis calendar, the Wimbledon Men's Final.

Ben Fell, Marketing Communications Manager, Slazenger, comments, ''On behalf of Slazenger we would like to congratulate John on his win. As a big tennis fan we are sure he will thoroughly enjoy this fantastic prize, and if this year's nail biting and emotional Wimbledon Men's Final is anything to go by, John will have the tennis experience of a lifetime!''
